The nominees for this years BET Awards have been announced and among the exciting categories is the Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act.
The awards are set to take place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, USA on Sunday 26 June and two of Africa’s relative newcomers have been nominated for the category priorly mentioned.

Emtee and Falz will join stars from their home countries who have also been nominated, this time for the Best International Act, Africa.

Emtee, who just this last weekend walked away with a SAMA for Record of the Year and even before then won the most awards at the 2016 Metro FM Music Awards in February 2016, rejoiced at the news, taking to social media to encourage his fans to vote for him using the hashtag #IPickEmtee.
Falz on his own end recently won an acting award, received a nomination at the Headies awards held in January this year and his album, Stories That Touch was critically acclaimed, producing a number of popular singles. He was announced as the host of the MTV Base TV comedy show, The Bigger Friday Show.
