The sixth edition of the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards is set.
The awards is set to take place at the Royal garden hotel in Kensington, London on Saturday, 7 May 2016.
On being the first time the awards nominations are released a month early, the executive director of the Zim Achievers Awards, Brian Nyabunze explained that he wants the public to have enough time to nominate their preferred ‘achiever’ before the final selections and the announcement of finalists.
“From our working professionals contributing in various fields to our entrepreneurs, philanthropists and artistes distinguishing themselves in various ventures, the Zimbabwean community is continuing to make its presence felt in the UK,”
“We have so many talented Zimbabwean’s shining through year in and year out,” he added. “Individuals who have pushed boundaries in various sectors, leaders and innovators of so many initiatives that have put them on a global platform, and now we look forward to what 2016 has to offer.”
The awards nominations which opened in December 2015 are still running on the event’s official website. There are 18 categories from which members of the public can nominate. So if you know anyone who deserves to be recognized for their hardwork, or their contributions to society at large, head over to the site and nominate.
Tickets are being sold on the website for £65.95. Also, buying a ticket on the site allows you to pick where you want to be seated at the event.
