It easily came across like fantastical but here we are beholding a reality in Dubai’s floating villa.
The floating seahorse is an exotic piece of luxury with underwater rooms.
The structure is courtesy of Dubai developer Kleindienst Group. The construction firm intends to have about 42 of the floating villa for the first Phase.
By 2018, Dubai wants to create a man-made island with about 131 of the structure. Currently, about 35 of the 42 units has already been sold. They will be located more than two miles off the coast of Dubai.
According to a spokesperson, the Group is working on constructing the coral garden. These floating seahorses are basically “boats without the propulsion”.
They will have three levels: an upper deck, a main floor at sea level, and an underwater level. It has a relaxation area, external shower, kitchenette and minibar.
The middle deck, called the sea level, has an open-plan layout with a living room, dining room, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom.
The master bedroom and bathroom will be located underneath the water. With an underwater window, one gets a view of the beautiful sea life and creatures
According to a press release, the Dubai’s floating seahorse as the name implies indicates that the project has potentials of protecting sea life in the Persian Gulf,
“We will create an artificial coral reef beneath the luxury retreats which will be a protected area in which seahorses can safely live and breed.”
The floating villa project is estimated to cost about £2.2 million each.
For each of Dubai’s floating villa, there will be “butler service, room service and a personal chef will be available upon request”.
