Sangulani Chikumbutso is a Zimbabwean inventor and tech-entrepreneur. Recently, the talented young man unveiled what has been cooking in his budding tech-company. He unveiled very rare technological innovations during an official launch of his works on Monday.
The displayed prototypes include a helicopter that uses different types of fuel, a locally produced electric car, a ‘green’ generator, traffic signs, mobile backpack amongst others.
Just like some self-made billionaires, he dropped out of school. Sangulani left school in 9th grade to define his life and indeed his career trajectory. He was born into a poor home in 1980 and raised by a single mother in Kuwadzana, Harare.
In his school days, Sangulani had started exhibiting his natural flair in electrical engineering. His evident skills was so unprecedented that he was profiled in the media as a talented student. Being a mechanic like his father has always been his dream.
Fortunately, his resilience and hard work paid off. Sangulani Chikumbutso is the founder of a biotechnological firm, Saith Technologies. His striking inventions have generated a lot of buzz and likes on social media.
On Monday, 25th April, the Zimbabwean inventor introduced his latest inventions to all and sundry. He unveiled such marvels as a “hybrid engine-powered helicopter, an electric car, a magnetic converter, a ‘green’ power generator and a special drone.”
This will make him the first ever in the country to successfully invent an electric car and a hybrid helicopter. The 2-seater helicopter in question is designed to use 6 different types of fuel. The electric car prototype has a top speed of 90km per hour. NewsDay says that “the biggest of his inventions is the Greener Power Machine (GPM) which is set to revolutionize the energy sector.”
