Donald Trump did mean business when he put in the bid to run for presidency. Today he has officially become the United States President-Elect and eventually the 45th President of the United States.
With 289 points Donald Trump won the November 8 Presidential elections. Hillary made a total of 218 points.
In a pretty tough and tight competition, both candidates did well but the people have chosen the best candidate for their President.
If Hillary won she would have been the first female President of the United States. It would have made the Clintons the first family for the second time.
Trump himself has made the history of all times by beating Clinton with her impeccable wealth of experience in the American government. Without as much endorsements as Hillary had, from Republicans and the government, Trump trashed Hillary in the polls with clear margins. He triumphed against all odds.
Regardless of the leaked tape and sexual assault allegations, Trump still emerged the President-elect of the most powerful country in the world.
This election will go down in history as one of the toughest.
First of all, Americans clearly had issues with both candidates, while Trump’s loud, erratic and somewhat arrogant personality scared some, many others were more put off by the lack of trust for Hillary Clinton.
In his speech as the United States President-Elect, Trump confirmed Hillary’s congratulatory call to concede defeat.
“I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.”
“I mean, she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.”
In an unusually calm and calculated manner, the President-to be called for unity and promised to be a president for all Americans.
“Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of division, have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.”
“It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me.”
It will be incomplete not to mention Russia in the whole of the race to the Oval Office.
It has been largely purported that Russia piloted the cyber attacks and hacking of delicate documents of the DNC.
Unusually expected of a Presidential candidate, Donald Trump publicly admires Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, America’s arch rival. Trump went as far as saying on a radio interview that he intends to visit Russia before assuming power in the oval office.
“If I win on November 8, I could see myself meeting with Putin and meeting with Russia prior to the start of the administration.”
Celebrating his win as the United States president-elect, the Russian president has congratulated Trump for his victory. In an official statement, Kremlin says that Putin “expressed hope for mutual work on bringing US-Russia relations out of their critical condition”.
Putin hopes they would build “constructive dialogues between Moscow and Washington that is based on principles of equality, mutual respect and a real accounting each other’s positions, in the interests of our peoples and the world community”.
