Vincent Enyeama has been rated the 6th best goal keeper in Europe for the 2015/2016 season by the CIES Football Observatory.
The former Super Eagles and Lille OSC goalkeeper ranked higher than Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris, Alphonse Areola of Villareal, Keylor Navas of Real Madrid and Pepe Reina of Napoli, with Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer topping the list.
The ranking was done taking into account the number of goals conceded per match, number of minutes per goal, number of passes per match, number of saves per match, number of saves per goal conceded and the percentage of saves.
Vincent Enyeama also received a trophy, having won the Ligue 1 Team Of The Year Award — his second in three seasons. He has also been nominated for the Ligue 1 Golden Glove, along side goal keepers like Steve Mandanda (Olympique Marseille), Salvatore Sirigu (Paris Saint Germain) and Stephane Ruffier (Saint-Ettiene).
The award is leaning towards Enyeama having earned 21 clean sheets this season from 35 matches.

“From the depth of my heart, I want to say a very big thank you to God for this season,” Enyeama wrote on his official Instagram page.
“Special mention is my goalie coach (Jean Pierre aka Mommote) Steeve Elana, Mike Maignan, Jean Butez. All the players from other clubs that nominated and voted me for this award.
“All the journalists and critics that set me on the right path. Thank you so much.
“Hopefully one the day, your votes will be enough for me to get the real trophy and not just the nomination trophy.
“Thank you, I appreciate.”
