Betsy Russell’s full name is Elizabeth Russell. The American actress was born on the 6th of September 1963 in the city of San Diego, California. Her mother’s name was Constance Lerner and her father was a popular stock analyst named Richard Lion Russell.
The young girl was raised by her parents in the city of her birth, and she attended Mission Bay High School, graduating in 1981.
2. She Did Not Attend College
Upon graduation, Russell opted not to attend college and instead relocated to Los Angeles where she began to take acting classes. It is undeniable that the young girl took a big risk by skipping college and trying to succeed in the world of acting at such a young age. Richard Lion Russell was a popular American stock analyst and finance writer. Born on the 22nd of July 1924, he received his education from NYU and served as a combat bombardier during the Second World War.
In 1958, Richard began to publish a newsletter which he called the Dow Theory Letters. The newsletters primarily focused on foreign markets, economics, precious metals, and the US stock market. Around the same time, he published a book titled The Dow Theory Today which sold millions of copies across the world.
Richard’s newsletters brought him wide fame in America and he also began a website where he wrote about 4 times a week before passing away on the 21st of November 2015 in La Jolla, California.
