Aaron Carter is an American Pop and Hip Hop singer who gained fame and popularity among teens and pre-teens during the late 1990s and early 2000. His self-titled debut album Aaron Carter which was released in 1997 when he was just 10 years old sold about a million copies all over the world. His second album released in the year 2000 and titled Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) dropped three years later and sold about three million copies in the U.S alone. He released his third album in 2001 and the following year his fourth album, Another Earthquake, followed. Aaron Carter has in these years grown to become one of the most successful musicians America has ever known. Brief Bio – Age 

Aaron Carter’s full name is Aaron Charles Carter and he was born on 7th December 1987 at the at the Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida, to Robert Gene Carter (now late) and Jane Elizabeth. He is one of his parents’ five children. He has an elder brother Nick who is a member of the all-boys band Backstreet Boys, and three sisters which include a set of twins – Angel and B.J. His other sister Leslie died in 2012.

Carter’s family was originally from New York but his parents moved to Florida when his elder brother was still very young. In Florida, his parents ran a retirement home called the Garden Villa Retirement Home.

He is an alumnus of Frank D. Miles Elementary School and the Ruskin School, both in Florida.

Aaron has always loved music and he began singing and performing as early as the age of seven. He was the lead singer of a local band which goes by the name Dead End. Two years later he left the band due to interest clash, he was interested in pop and the band was interested in alternative rock. His first solo appearance was at the opening of a Backstreet Boys concert in Berlin in 1997 where he sang The Jets’ “Crush on You”.

His performance didn’t only wow the audience but also earned him a recording contract and in the fall of that same year, he released his first single “Crush on You”, which was followed by the full album in December 1997. The debut album entitled Aaron Carter earned a gold status not just in the U.S but also in Spain, Denmark, Norway, Germany, and Canada.

His second album, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) was released in September 2000. It received 3x platinum certification from RIAA and over three million copies of the album were sold in the U.S alone. Tracks like “That’s How I Beat Shaq”, “Bounce”, “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)”, and “I Want Candy” received airplay on Nickelodeon and Disney.

He made guest appearances severally on Nickelodeon and performed in an opening concert for the all boy band Backstreet Boys and also for pop singer Britney Spears. His third album Oh Aaron was released in August 2001 and it featured his first duet with his elder brother, Nick. His fourth studio album, Another Earthquake! was released in 2002.

Another Earthquake became his last studio album for the next 16 years. His fifth album Fool’s Gold was released in February 2018. Before then, he released a single with the same title in 2016 and an EP titled LøVë in 2017.

During his years of “no album” Aaron Carter was busy with other things, like appearing on Dancing With the Stars, on the off-Broadway musical The Fantasticks, the Broadway musical Seussical, and on other one-off performances.

During this time, Aaron also went in and out of police stations. In 2008, he was arrested in Kimble County, Texas, for being in possession of two ounces of marijuana. By July 2017, he was reported to have been arrested in Georgia on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. This arrest happened after he had spent time in a rehab facility earlier in that year and by the end of 2017, we learned from an exclusive revelation he made to usmagazine.com that he was still smoking weed.

Carter filed a bankruptcy petition in 2013 to shed more than $3.5 million he owned as debt. The debts were mostly taxes he didn’t pay at the peak of his career.  The petition he filed revealed that his biggest creditor was the U.S government which he owed $1.3 million as taxes from his 2003 income.

In 2017, August 5th to be precise, Carter came out as bisexual via a series of Tweets. According to him, he began finding both sexes attractive at the age of thirteen and he had his first sexual relationship with a guy at the age of seventeen after being intimate with a few girls. Carter said he just had to open up about his sexuality because he just can’t live a lie.

However, on a podcast for Hollywood Life in 2018, Aaron Carter retracted his earlier statement of bisexuality, calling it “misconstrued”, he added that he sees himself being with a woman and raising a family with her.
