Aaron Rodgers is a record-breaking American football player who currently plays for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL) having previously excelled as a college athlete for the California Golden Bears.

The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player won Super Bowl XLV and was also named MVP of the event. He has the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in NFL history and is also, the only quarterback in history to have a career passer rating of over 100.0 in the regular season.

Aaron Rodgers Bio

Rodgers was born Aaron Charles Rodgers to Darla Leigh (née Pittman) and Edward Wesley Rodgers on December 2, 1983, in Chico, California. He is of English, Irish, and German ancestry. While growing up, Rodgers showed great signs of becoming an athlete as he excelled in basketball, baseball, and American football. He and his brothers; Luke and Jordan, were coached by their father who played college football but failed to become a professional.

Aaron Rodgers attended Oak Manor Elementary School before transferring to Vose Elementary School after his family moved to Beaverton, Oregon. He played in the Raleigh Hills Little League as he attended Whitford Middle School. In 1997, his family returned to California where he finished his high school education at Pleasant Valley High School. During his time there, Rodgers switched his focus to football and became the school’s starting quarterback.

After graduating in 2002, Aaron Rodgers spent one year at Butte Community College after he failed to secure interest from Division I programs. He later got a scholarship to attend the University of California, Berkeley where he became a starter after just five games with his new side. In his junior year, he threw 2,320 yards with a completion rating of 67.5 in the regular season and also tied the NCAA record for completed consecutive passes at 23.

His statistics made him a high prospect for the league. After that year, he abandoned his senior college year to make himself eligible for the draft. Aaron Rodgers was picked by the Green Bay Packers with the 24th overall pick. He went on to become the backup quarterback for the team, behind the legendary Brett Favre as the rest became history.

His Brothers

Rodgers has two younger brothers; Jordan and Luke Rodgers. It is unclear what exactly Luke does but Jordan, like his brother, played American football as a quarterback. He played for Butte College and Vanderbilt University before moving to the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2013 although he never played a game. He spent some time in the offseason as a practice squad member with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2013), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2013), Miami Dolphins (2014), and BC Lions (2015) before calling it quits to become a college football analyst and commentator.

Rodgers’ Net Worth

Aaron Rodgers is said to have an estimated net worth of $30 million. After having signed a rookie contract worth $7.6 million, the 6 feet 2 inches tall quarterback, in 2013, signed a five-year $110 million deal that made him the highest annually paid player in the league at the time. He also reportedly took home a signing bonus of $35 million.

This has afforded the recording breaking player the audacity to venture into a number of businesses, most notably being a limited partner in the ownership group of the NBA franchise, Milwaukee Bucks.
