Having a lovely family could be all anyone needs to fight over life issues. Adalia Rose, the popular young girl with the body of an old lady is celebrated today for her perseverance at overcoming the many travails that come with the life-threatening disease she has.
As a YouTuber, her fan base has increased drastically over the years on the platform and on social media sites. The reason for this is not far-fetched: Rose’s life is a massive inspiration, a testament to how love and happiness can overcome adversity.
Adalia Rose Suffers from a Progressive Genetic Disorder that Causes Children to age Rapidly
As a child, Adalia Rose was diagnosed with one of the rarest diseases on earth, the Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS), commonly known as Progeria. Since the discovery of the ailment in 1886, it has been proven that Progeria affects about 1 in 20 million people and there are about 350-400 children living with Progeria worldwide.
The disease is not sex conditioned as it can affect both sexes. In most cases, people who suffer from the ailment live a quiet life except for Adalia, who has told the world about her condition.
As a result of the disease, Rose, who is still a teenager, has the physical looks and appearance of an old lady. The good news is that this has hardly denied her living a happy life. Rose is quite fulfilled and has blossomed as an internet personality.
Life Expectancy for People Living with Progeria
Adalia Rose was born on the 10th of December 2006 in the big city of Texas, the United States of America; she was born a normal child. Howbeit, after several months of birth, she seemed not to be growing right as expected of a healthy baby. After a long run of tests, she was diagnosed with the Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, a condition that happens as a result of gene mutation.
Various studies have established that the genetic condition is caused as a result of a gene mutation known as LMNA. The condition is extremely rare and its symptoms manifest at an early age. People who suffer from the disease often show signs at infancy such as slow growth, a localized scleroderma-like skin condition, rigid and short limbs, and hair loss.
Progeria was first described in 1886 by Jonathan Hutchinson and was later described independently in 1897 by Hastings Gilford. Research is still on as there is no proven treatment for the disease, however, it can be managed with several drugs as well as growth hormone treatments.
Also, people who suffer from the ailment are noted to not live past their early twenties with 90% of them dying of a heart attack or stroke.
Adalia has been a Victim of Several Death Hoaxes
Because of the prognosis for Adalia Rose’s condition which revolves around the fact that people with such conditions don’t live past a certain age, the social media star has been a victim of several death hoaxes over the years.
In 2012, rumors were rife that she had died, but these were eventually dispelled when her mother took to social media to confirm that she is alive and strong.
Besides these, her parents have done their best at protecting and shielding her from anything that may bring her spirits down especially bullies in all forms, be it online or physically.
Is the Social Media Celebrity an only Child?
Her mom is Natalia Pallante and the identity of her biological dad is currently unknown, but the man she grew to call dad is Ryan Pallante. She has three brothers named Niko, Emiliano, and Marcelo. Adalia is an American of Hispanic and Latino ethnic background.
Thanks to her family, Rose has lived as a normal child to the best of her ability. However, she never attended any educational institution but was homeschooled.
Over the years since the diagnosis, Rose and her family have come to terms with her condition. They have always strived to help her live the most normal life possible for someone in her condition. The brave young lady is never withdrawn as she shares lots of pictures and videos on several social media platforms.
Her Mother has Admitted that She felt lost when Rose was Diagnosed
Natalia Pallante has revealed that she was a single mom when her daughter was diagnosed. Based on what she shared, it was a difficult time for her and she felt lost.
Noting that the average life expectancy for a child with Progeria is 13 years, Natalia related that she refrains from discussing this with Rose as she wouldn’t want her to live in fear.
While she wishes her daughter had a different fate, Natalia has come to terms with the way things are and is very proud of being Adalia Rose’s mother. Based on what she said, things are always exciting with Rose.
Her YouTube Page has Gained Over 2 Million Subscribers thus Far
Rose is often described as an unusual social media personality who has won the hearts of many. She sings, dances, and sometimes talks about her family on the internet. Adalia is reportedly said to do everything a normal child her age does.
Amongst her many video uploads and pictures on her various social media handles, her most-watched video on YouTube is Sunset Makeup Look on My Mom, which was uploaded on December 4th, 2016.
The video went viral in a really short time and has garnered over 28.6 million views as of this writing. She has gained a lot more viewers and loyal subscribers on the platform. The last time we checked, she had accumulated over 275 million views.
People Have Kicked Against Her Social Media Presence
While the social media star has acquired a lot of followers online, there are those who are not happy with her social media presence. In fact, some fellow named James Anderson petitioned that her Facebook page be removed from the platform.
For Anderson, it is sensible to take away Rose’s Facebook page and divert fans and supporters to a page that supports children who suffer from Progeria.
He pointed out that his petition isn’t against Adalia but her mother who controls the page. James claimed, albeit subtly, that Rose’s mother has exposed her child to bullies and had been profiting from it. As much as there are people who shared James’ sentiments, there are many more who have rallied around Rose.
