African Utility Week: Akon Gets Nominated For Outstanding Contribution Award(Power)


African Utility Week 2017– For his contribution in Africa’s renewable energy sector since 2014, Akon has been nominated for the Outstanding Contribution Award(Power).

Scheduled for 16-18 May 2017, at the CTICC in Cape Town, the 17th annual African Utility Week will kick off with “product demonstrations, workshops, cocktail functions, free refreshments and meeting lounges will create business opportunities”.

African Utility Week is a globally recognized conference and trade exhibition for African power and water utility professionals. It is a leading business and innovation platform for meeting new clients and suppliers; and be updated on the current and developing business solutions.

As the name implies, the African utility week is an event that particularly borders on Power/energy generation and the water sector.

There will be about 1200 delegates and an overall 6000 (and more) attendees who get to benefit from the “unlimited networking opportunities” at the event. About 250 exhibitors from multiple sectors will showcase their products and services.
