Born Amber Levonchuck on October 21, 1983, in Philadelphia, United States, Rose was raised in the South side of the city by her parents. Her mother is Creole, that is, of African (Cape Verdean) and European (Ayrshire, Scotland) descent, while her father is Irish and Italian. She has a brother named Antonio Hewlett.
