The business mogul was born on the 2nd of December 1980 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born to parents Bill and Marsha and has three siblings – sisters Allison and Leigh, and brother Will. Ashley’s mother was a housewife and her father was an investment banker. The birth of her love for business began as she watched her father work.
While in school, she was exceptional with her grades and was also an active member of extracurricular groups. From fundraisers to cultural events organized by the school, it wasn’t difficult to find Ashley pouring her energy into it. Her junior school days had her in a program called Service Over Self. It was a weekly run program that had students help with renovations and repairs of homes in residential Memphis. Her foray into charities saw her help in educating young boys and girls on Saturdays as part of her community service. Her philanthropy and community services made her a member of Ascensus Society.
Also, her extracurricular activities saw her as a member of the Girl Scout Cookie Program and her work merited her several Cookie Rewards back to back. Ashley Thompson attended the University of Virginia where she studied Finance and Marketing. She graduated in 1997. Following her graduation, Ashley Thompson ventured into real estate development. Ashley Thompson has plans to expand her business to Indianapolis, working on a residential development plan for the state capital.

Ashley Thompson is married to college sweetheart and former American football quarterback Peyton Manning. The two were introduced to each other by their parents in the summer of 1993 when they were next-door neighbors. Afterwards, Ashley and Peyton kept in touch, growing their relationship steadily throughout college. When they both graduated, they maintained their blossoming relationship. Together, they created the PeyBack Foundation in 1999, a charity organization aimed at helping disadvantaged youths. On the 17th of March, 2001 the couple tied the knot at a ceremony held in Memphis, Tennessee.
Ashley Thompson has been a driving force to her husband, pushing him on even when he wasn’t sure of the way forward. Reports by news channel Al Jazeera surfaced that the couple was involved in the use of drugs. Most specifically it claimed that Peyton used illegal performance-enhancing drugs during his time with the Indianapolis Colts. He allegedly escaped the radar by ordering the drugs in his wife’s name, creating no trail to him. Peyton denied the claims and his wife Ashley Thompson provided proof that she, and not her husband, was the one using the drugs.

Shortly after the drug allegations, rumors also surfaced that there was trouble in paradise as a result of Peyton’s infidelity to his wife. These rumors didn’t hold much water for long as the two were spotted constantly together at different events, showing there are no major problems in the marriage.
