BamBam is a South Korea-based singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and dancer who originally hails from Thailand. Since he came onto the scene in 2014, BamBam has been famous for being a member of the South Korean boy band Got7. Over the last couple of years however, his career has branched out to acting, show appearances and show hosting. In 2019, Bamabam won the Popularity Vote Award at the 8th Daradaily Awards. Who is Bambam of GOT7 & What’s His Age?
BamBam was born—Kunpimook Bhuwakul— in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 2, 1997, to parents of Thai origin. His mum, Kochakorn Bhuwakul, took care of him growing up as his father (whose details are not publicly known) died when BamBam was still a lad. As the third of four children, BamBam was raised in Bangkok alongside his two elder brothers and younger sister. His brothers are also popular dancers back home in Thailand.
BamBam has had a thing for dancing from a very early age. While attending Pramoch Wittaya Ramindra School, he participated in and won the Rain Cover in 2007; a dancing competition for pupils. He was only ten at the time and was also a member of the dance crew We Zaa Cool with Lisa of Blackpink.
His Music Career And Rise to Fame
BamBam got his start in music when he debuted with Got7 in 2014. However, that came after three years of intensive training under JYP Entertainment for three and a half years. Before his debut, BamBam had appeared on an episode of Mnet’s reality-survival program WIN: Who Is Next, back in September 2013. More so, he’d appeared in a Thai horror film, Fairy Tale Killer, as the son of one of the leading characters back in 2012.
The following year, 2013, he appeared in an episode of the reality-survival show WIN: Who Is Next, the show aired in September 2013. But there was more to come. Got7 debut song Girls Girls Girls was released alongside its music video on January 16, 2014. What followed were two more EPs, titled Just Right and Mad. A year later, BamBam and fellow singer, Key from the group SHINee were made permanent hosts for Mnet’s M! Countdown. Their stint on the show lasted from March 2015 to March 2016.
That same year, he also appeared in the Korean-Chinese web drama series Dream Knight. By 2016, BamBam had established foundations in music, acting and show hosting altogether. That year, he and his fellow Got7 singer, Jackson, were part of the Soth Korean variety show Real Men for the special season titled Enlisting Together. BamBam did a cameo appearance on the SBS program Don’t Dare to Dream. That year, he and his band members released two studio albums, Flight Log: Turbulence and Moriagatteyo.
By 2017, BamBam had joined the show, 3 zaps, as a cast member. Later that year, Got7 released two EPs titled Flight Log: Arrival and 7 for 7. The lyric video for their song, You Are, was also released that year. The song became one of the best hits from their seventh album, 7 for 7. In March 2018, they dropped another EP, Eyes on You, alongside their insanely successful single One and Only You. On October 15, 2019, BamBam was featured in the song Do You; as part of an album (Into the New Era) release by fellow Thai rapper F. Hero.

Now over twenty, BamBam maintains a slim and lanky build. He stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 meters) tall and weighs 139 (63 kg). He has dark brown eyes and black hair, which he sometimes dyes into various colors and styles. As yet, there are no details about BamBam’s chest or biceps sizes. According to sources, BamBam’s worth is said to be running in millions of dollars. While some say he has a net worth as high as $46 million, others say he is worth $10 million. At the turn of 2019, BamBam’s career began branching into humanitarian efforts and advocacies. In May, he was appointed spokesman of a campaign launched by the Thailand office of UNICEF and the country’s Ministry of Social Development and Human Security against children abuse. By September, he’d donated over 100,000 baht to help children who were affected by the floodings that happened in the Ubon Ratchathani province. His clothing brand, doubleB, which launched on December 5, 2017, sold 13,707 units of its limited-edition designs for two weeks. The proceeds were channeled to Water.org, an initiative that provides access to safe drinking water.
