Braun Strowman was born as Adam Joseph Scherr in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, on 6th September 1983. He is the first of two children born to a renowned United Socialist States of America (USSSA) member, Rick Scherr. He has a younger sister by the name of Hannah. While growing up, he gathered his childhood experiences in Arkansas and Tennessee.
Regarding his educational qualifications, he graduated from Bandys High School, North Carolina in 2001. During this time, Strowman is known to have participated in his high schools’ sports events including track and field, football and wrestling. However, two years after his graduation from high school, he entered into a community college where he played local football as he was a member of the Hickory Hornets team for a period of four years.
After some years, the wrestler started participating in strongman non-professional competitions. He went on to secure his professional Strongman Corporation identity by emerging as the winner of the 2011 NAS United States Amateur National Championships. The WWE superstar followed it up by winning the 2012 edition of the Arnold Amateur Strongman Championships.
