The dexterous actress was born on 8th February 1949 in New York City, United States to her parents – Robert K Adams and Rosalind Adams. Her father, Robert who came from the ancestry line of former US Presidents, John Quincy Adams and John Adams, was an ex-vice chairman of CBS as well as an actor and producer. He had a summer theatre in Michigan. Her mother, Rosalind, on the other hand, is a renowned actress in America. She is an alumna of High School of Performing Arts and the School of American Ballet. She later learned dancing at her aunt’s studio situated in Montague, Michigan.

Moving to her acting career, Brooke Adams got her career to a start on the stage by appearing in many Broadway productions like Key Exchange at the OrpheumThe Cherry Orchard and Lend Me A Tenor. She went on to make her TV debut at the age of 14 by appearing as Marky Morgan in the 1963 TV series, East Side/West Side.
