C.J. Mosley is a football player who plays in the National Football League (NFL) as a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens. The incredible player, Clint Mosley Junior was born on June 1, 1992, in Mobile, Alabama and was also raised there. He is an American and is of mixed ethnicity; African-American. The lad was born as one of two children to Clinton Mosley and Tracy Mosley and has as his brother James Mosley. The footballer began his educational pursuit at Theodore High School and later had his college studies at the University of Alabama.
As mentioned earlier, the skilled footballer was raised in Mobile Alabama, a town where the likes of Paul Harris, Scott Hunter, Chevis Jackson, Robert Brazile were also raised. Having grown up in such a neighbourhood, C.J. Mosley nursed the passion to be a footballer as a child and has finally achieved his dreams as an adult.
He is a three-sport athlete as he is skilled in the game of football, basketball and track events. While at Theodore High, he participated in the trio and was exceptionally good in each sport.
As a student-athlete in junior school, his team lost to the Auburn recording a 6-5 loss. Despite the loss, C.J. Mosley put in an outstanding performance, recording 17 tackles for loss, seven sacks, 4 fumbles, and 2 interceptions in the game which earned him the ASWA 6A All-State selection. In his second year, he recorded 112 tackles, 4 sacks in addition to one interception. During his days as a senior, he recorded 186 tackles, seven sacks, five fumbles in addition to four interceptions. The footballer retained the ASWA 6A All-state honours and finished the season with a record of 9-2 with his teammates.
C.J. Mosley qualified as a four-star recruit and was listed as the sixth position of an outside linebacker prospect in a clique of the best five- star linebackers including the likes of Jordan Hicks and Christian Jones. He was also listed as the second-ranked player for Alabama alongside Crisom Tide player Dee Milliner, however, C. J. chose to play with Crisom Tide over Auburn. He also had offers from Florida, Tennessee, and Oklahoma to mention a few
He sustained an injury that kept him out in 2011 but by 2012, he was selected to the AP All American team in and recorded 107 tackles. The footballer was later rewarded with Alabama’s MVP Award. Officially, his professional career began in 2014 and he recorded 40-yard dash, 20-yard dash, 10 yard Dash and 15 bench press.
The Baltimore Ravens had an eye for the footballer, they later signed a four-year contract worth $8.87 million including a bonus of $4.71 million with C.J and he currently wears the jersey number 57. In his professional first game, he recorded a 23-16 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals and also recorded a 15 combined tackles. He later attained his first career interception in the game against the Indianapolis Colts with a 23-16 loss.
C.J. Mosley was elected to his second Pro Bowl and Second Team All-Pro in 2016 and finished the season recording 92 tackles with 4 interceptions. On March 28, 2018, he renewed his one year contract with the Ravens and currently plays there.
