Carla was born in Sarasota, Florida, United States of America, on the 29th day of August 1971 as Carlo Gugino to her father, Carl Gugino. Her mother’s identity is not known. Her father is of Italian origins while her mother is of English-Irish background.
When she was two, her parents went their separate ways and from thereon she shuttled between her father’s and half brother’s place in Sarasota and her mother’s place in Paradise, California, till she moved in with her mother.
