From ‘receptionist’ to ‘world-class’ rapper, Chanel West Coast is a typical go-getter. The star came into the limelight thanks to her roles in Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness. But even before all of that, she had started preparing for stardom. With Tupac as one of her sources of inspiration, she started down on the road to rap stardom. This, in conjunction with the fact that she grew up in a bustling music scene, contributed to the choices that have ultimately seen her become a well-known name in the entertainment world. Here are some interesting information about the star.
What Is Chanel West Coast’s Real Age?
The star was born in September 1988 in Los Angeles, California and has an interesting racially mixed background. While her mother is of English descent, her dad is of Russian Jewish descent. Despite being born there, she spent most of her time in either North Hollywood or New York City, with her mother and father respectively. Her love for all things music could possibly be traced back to her childhood when her father, being a DJ, took her to a number of Nightclubs as a kid. In addition to that, she started receiving singing and dancing lessons at a tender age.
Her career really kicked off in the early 2000s after she was introduced to Rob Dyrdek of Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. She was offered a position as his assistant while he was filming the series. By 2011, she finally made her acting debut as Sheila in an episode of the MTV series The Hard Times of RJ Berger. Soon after she landed a more permanent gig on the show Ridiculousness alongside Dyrdek and Sterling “Steelo” Brim. In addition to voicing the character of Flipz in Wild Grinders, Chanel continued to appear in Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness.

By 2011, she was signed to the record label Zone 4 although she left them without releasing any singles.
While she was a free agent, she released some material which was free to download online. The next year spelled better things for Chanel West Coast as she was signed to Young Money Entertainment by Lil Wayne. Then she released a bomb mixtape featuring the likes of Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, French Montana, Honey Cocaine and Ty Dolla $ign. Promoting her mixtape gave her the opportunity to tour and mingle with other artists altogether. It was not until 2014 that she began to record her debut album, set to be dropped in 2016. Since then, the artist has really come into her own as she has found her footing in the entertainment industry.
