Who Is Chase Goehring?
Chase Goehring was born in Long Beach, California, the United States, on November 2, 1995; to American parents. Although there are not many details about his childhood, early education, siblings, parents or what they did for a living, we know he didn’t start out loving music. At least not in the beginning. Even though he began taking piano lessons back in middle school, on his parents’ volition, it wasn’t until his high school days Goehring began taking a liking to music. Even at that, he began as a vocalist, not as a guitar player as many think. Starting, young Chase began posting his songs on the media platform YouNow. As he gained viewership, he continued to learn to sing and to play the ukulele and guitar via video clips he watched on the video-sharing platform, YouTube. He even won a YouNow singer-songwriter contest at that time.
He soon joined a local rock band and started out playing the piano for them. After a couple of gigs, Chase Goehring and one other colleague eventually left the rock and roll group and formed a musical (guitar-wielding) duo, The AcoustiKats. On the AcoustiKats, Goehring continued to evolve quickly and that was evident in his lyrics which took on deeper meanings. They were largely a product of his personal experiences. More intriguing is the fact that the young musician blends his music with rap, sing-rap, and several catchy mixes that adds variety to his thoughts.
In 2015, Goehring released his first single, A Capella. The song spread like wildfire and got positive feedbacks leading to the release of his debut EP titled Jaded in 2016. The EP contained five incredible singles such as California, Illusion, Jaded, and What is love. But there was more to come. Perhaps, Goehring’s most defining moment came in 2017 when he emerged 5th amongst the top ten participants in the reality show, America’s Got Talent. He earlier auditioned for the Talent show; performing his original song Hurt and got selected. But before AGT, Goehring also made it to Season 3 of The X-Factor but got knocked out before the finals. Although he put in quite a dazzling performance.
