Chris Long was born as Christopher Howard Long and he is popularly known as an athlete who plays football as a defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. He has been on the top of his game ever since he was picked as the second overall in the 2008 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. Chris, currently a free agent, played with the New England  Patriots and won the Super Bowl LI before moving over to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 and won the Super Bowl LII title.

The defensive end was born on March 28, 1985, in Santa Monica. He attended St Annes-Belfield School where he participated in various sports activities including lacrosse, basketball, and football but majored in football. He later attended the University of Virginia where he attained a degree in sociology and was also an active football player for the school team.

His mom, Diane Addonizio got married to his father in 1982. Details about her person and her occupation have not been recorded, however, we could vouch that she was a supporting wife and an encouraging mother.

Chris Long was born as one of three siblings in which all are boys and is the oldest of them all. His immediate younger, Kyle Long also trod the path of Chris – as a footballer. Kyle plays baseball and football but has taken football professionally. He plays as a guard for the Chicago Bears in the NFL and was selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Bears.

Kyle also took baseball to a reasonable height of professionalism before dropping it to concentrate on football. For baseball, he was selected in the 23rd round of the 2008 MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox but later didn’t accept the deal. He was skilled at the game and was also picked to the 2008 United States Army All- American Bowl.

Chris other brother was named after their father and is known as Howie Long Jr. He didn’t take his career in sports to the field, he works behind the scene and serves the Oakland Raiders as a scouting assistant and personal assistant.

We wouldn’t be so surprised at how the defensive player’s father joined the movie industry after playing on the field as he is said to be related to the legendary actor, film director, and producer; Irvin Kershner. Chris Long also made his debut on television as an infant as he appeared in an anti-underage drinking public service announcement alongside his parents in the 1980s.

Chris Long fell in love with the daughter of Joseph L.O’Malley, a sportsman who was briefly active in the game of baseball way back in 1977. Chris’s better half is Megan O’Malley. They dated for a while before taking their nuptial vows in Charlottesville, Virginia on June 22, 2013. Their union has been a sweet ride and has been blessed with a son named Waylon James Long who came to be on March 2, 2016.

Like her husband, Megan was born into a sporty home and she took delight in the game of Lacrosse while at Moorestown High School and initially played softball after she enrolled at the University of Virginia before deciding to major in the game of lacrosse. She also participated in the United States Lacrosse All-American team game through 2003 until the later days of 2004. She is also a super fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, her support for the team could be traced to her days as a child which became more ignited when her husband closed a deal with the team.

Megan and her father weren’t the only ones skilled in sports in her family. Her mother, Robin, played her part as a supporter, her sister, Katie is very active in the game of basketball at John Hopkins University, and her brother, O Malley junior is super skilled in the game of baseball.

After Megan had their son, she has taken delight in being a housewife and her husband’s support system. The couple lives happily in their home at Philadelphia.

Athletes are one of the highest paid people on planet earth. For Chris Long, you wouldn’t expect less from the skilled defensive end.
