David Irving – Girlfriend, Body Measurements and Details of His NFL Career

David Irving is an American Football Player who plays the position of a defensive lineman with the Dallas Cowboys. He started off his career as an undrafted free agent signed by the Kansas City Chief, before moving to the Dallas Cowboys. He played for San Jacinto High School and also Iowa State University. Early Life and Career Beginnings

David was born as David JaRodd Irving with his twin brother Nicholas Irving on the 18th day of August 1993 in Compton, California in the United States. He grew up in Compton with his family including his grandparents. His father named Rickey Harris, was a Marine master sergeant while his mother’s name is Kimberly Irving.

The kid moved over to San Jacinto as a youth where he then attended San Jacinto High School and began playing football as a defensive tackle and later a tight end. He recorded 19 receptions for 298 yards, 76 tackles, 5 forced fumble, 4 fumble recoveries, seven sacks, and 4 touchdowns.

He got favored with 3 scholarship offers from renown Universities; Nevada, Colorado State, and Iowa State out of which he picked Iowa State University. In the 3 years he spent there, he recorded a touchdown, 8 pass receptions, 44 tackles, one interception, and a fumble and blocked 3 sacks all in 32 games where he had 8 starts.

However, David Irving was reportedly dismissed from school in 2014 after a publication surfaced where he was caught on a photograph, holding a stop sign and ripping off a light pole, during the VEISHEA festival, he was later arrested, fined with theft, misconduct, criminal acquisition on the second degree. As though that was not enough, he again found himself meshed in a domestic violence case with his then live-in girlfriend Angela Sanchez. This act led to his eventual dismissal from the college.

NFL Career

In 2015, David signed a contract with Kansas City Chiefs, as an undrafted free agent. Subsequently, after the NFL draft, he received a waiver and became fully signed to the practice squad.

A few weeks later he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys while he was still in City Chiefs practice squad to replace Davon Coleman probably because he was speculated to have the longest wingspan which is about 87 3/4 inches which he employed in 2015 to block off a field goal from the Seahawks. He acted as a backup defensive tackle. However, before the end of the season, he recorded 14 quarterback pressure that made him the 6th person on the team.

Coming into the 2016 season, Irving recorded 3 forced fumbles, recovered one, a sack and batted down a pass in a game where he played against the Green Bay Packers. The game finished with a 30-16 win and David was awarded NFL Defensive player for that week.

In March of 2017, he renewed his contract with the Cowboys, later in June, he was found to have a banned substance in his system. (he claimed he was not aware that a natural drink he took contained hidden ingredient). He was later suspended by the NFL, from playing the season’s first four games. When the ban was lifted he was moved to three-technique defensive tackle.

The footballer started his 2018 season on a bad note as he was involved in a case of a failed drug test. He tested positive to performance enhancing drugs which are banned by the NFL. For this reason, he bagged another four-game suspension which he served till October 2018 at which point it ended.

Despite all the troubles the defensive lineman has been through, he still has his head high in the field of play. His career statistics so far in the NFL has seen him see professional football action in 35 games, recording 52 combined tackles, 33 total tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 11.5 sack with 5 forced fumbles, gallantly defended 12 passes. David has also recovered 1 fumble and successfully blocked a punt kick. Although he has no touchdown and has equally missed many games due to match bans and concussions he suffered while playing; he was in the 13th week of 2017 season declared as the leading all defensive tackles and sacks in the NFL.

David Irving was once in a live-in relationship with Angela Sanchez whom he met in his senior year at San Jacinto High School, and they have a daughter together born on Dec. 5, 2012, whom they named Zoe. However, their relationship was turbulent as the duo were always found arguing and at a time the police had to come into their affair. Angela who moved in with David in June 2013 had to move back to California with their daughter by November 2013, after they had a long quarrel over his phone issue that escalated to David giving her a cut on her hand.

1 David Irving is undoubtedly one of the tallest guys around in the Cowboys team standing at about 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 132 kg.

2. His Wingspan is estimated to be 87 3/4 inches or 2.65 meters. Currently, his other body measurements are unavailable but when they do get released, we will let you know.

3. David Irving has been said to leave the field during a rainy day because his hair products washed into his eyes preventing him from seeing clearly then later stepped back after he had washed off his hair product.

4. He reportedly mourned the loss of his nipple ring during one of his practices.

5. He had a rough life after his expulsion from College that pushed him in sleeping in cars and worked a day at the building wall a Home Depot warehouse, a 12-hour shift which he quit almost immediately.
