Demetria Dyan McKinney was born on the 27th of August 1979 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the United States. The actress has not disclosed specific details about her family background. It is, however, known that she endured a tough childhood during which her mother’s husband tried to molest her. She informed her mom who took no concrete steps to address the situation. The young McKinney thus left home for the streets where she lived for some time.
