On the personal front, Dermot has been married twice. He married Catherine Keener in 1990 with whom he has a son Clyde Mulroney born in 1999. They separated in 2005 and Dermot filled for divorce in 2007, citing irreconcilable differences. In 2008, he married Tharita Caseron-Catulle with whom he has two daughters (Mabel Ray born 2008 and Sally June born 2009).
