Inside Donald Trump Jr’s Love Life Since His Divorce and The Controversies He Has Courted

Donald Trump Jr is the eldest child of Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, and his first wife Ivana Trump. He was born on the 31st of December 1977, in Manhattan, New York City, and was raised alongside his two siblings; Ivanka and Eric Trump.

Not much was known about Jr to the public prior to 2001 when he became a part of his family’s multi-million dollar business conglomerate. His career as a businessman and real estate developer has seen him oversee building projects like Trump International Hotel and Tower and Trump Park Avenue. He came into the public’s eye again in 2016 when his father ran and won the presidential election. He has since then been active politically, garnering attention to himself and his personal life.

An image of his father in more ways than can be counted, the younger Trump is a father of five and a divorcee. He was previously married to Vanessa Trump for fourteen years before the pair called it quits. He has since gotten his love life back on track as he is now already in yet another relationship.

How Donald Trump Jr Met and Married Vanessa

Long before Trump Jr ever came into the picture, Vanessa Kay Haydon dated Saudi prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, the son of the Saudi ambassador. After that relationship ended in September 2011, her path crossed with that of Don Jr at a fashion show in 2003.

Trump Sr was said to have introduced her to his son twice in one night, prompting them to begin a relationship. Two years after, Jr proposed and the pair got married on November 12, 2005, at his father’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Their Marriage was Blessed with Five Children

Following the wedding, Donald Trump Jr and Vanessa seemed to be very happy as their marriage looked like it was surely going to last. In no time, they were blessed with five children; three boys and two girls.

Their first child, daughter Kai Madison, was born in 2007. A son named Donald Trump III was born in 2009 before another son named Tristan Milos was birthed in 2011. The last two kids, son Spencer Frederick and daughter Chloe Sophia were born in 2012 and 2014, respectively.

In early 2018, four years after their last child was born, cracks began to appear in the marriage. In March of the same year, it was announced that Vanessa and Trump Jr had separated as she filed for an uncontested divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Many Reasons Were Floated Around as the Cause of Their Divorce

Seeing that Donld Trump Jr’s father was president of the United States at the time, the media had a field day exploring what led to the breakdown of the president’s son’s marriage. There were a lot of reasons that were said to be the cause, including the couple’s political differences and Don Jr’s infidelity.

Vanessa was raised a liberal and the Trumps won the 2016 election on a conservative platform. This difference in ideologies caused a lot of problems in many American homes and was said to have also contributed to Vanessa and Don Jr’s divorce. It was also said that the marriage ended because Trump was cheap. According to that side of the story, Don Jr kept his then-wife on a tight budget, and because of that, she was forced to turn to her family for money a good number of times.

The other reason that made rounds was that Don Jr had an affair. Cheating allegations were first leveled against him far back in 2011 and 2012. He was said to have cheated on his wife with American singer-songwriter Aubrey O’Day when she was pregnant with their child. His alleged relationship with Aubrey began after her appearance on Apprentice as a contestant and it lasted from 2011 until 2012 when his father told him to end it. The obvious irony was that as a teenager, Don Jr resented his father for his unfaithfulness to his mother Ivana which was why their marriage ended and the family broke up. Fast forward to many years after, Trump Jr sadly repeated history.

Donald Trump Jr Has Moved on to Date Kimberly Guilfoyle

Since 2018, Doanld Trump Jr. has been linked to former Fox News personality, Kimberly Guilfoyle. The two are said to have known each other for more than a decade before they started dating officially shortly after his divorce.

Known for her work in relation to Donald Trump’s re-election bid, Kimberly has been married twice in the past. Her first marriage was to Gavin Newsom in 2001. At the time, Gavin was San Francisco city supervisor, and years later, he would go on to become the Democratic Governor of California. Their marriage came to an end in 2006, the same year she got married for a second time to American businessman Eric Villency. This marriage would only last for three years before ending in 2009. The duo have a son together.

Based on a 2007 picture, both Trump and Vanessa had known each other since then, but as stated, it was in April 2018 that their relationship became public.

He Has Been Embroiled in Many Other Controversies

The business aspect of Donald Trump Jr’s life, as well as his involvement in politics since his father ran and was elected president of the United States, has ensured that he is almost always in one form of controversy or the other.

In 2016, Trump Jr got into a controversy when he compared refugees to the fruit-flavored candy, Skittles. The statement drew backlash from many quarters, including the producers of the candy who reminded him that Skittles is candy while refugees are people.

In the same year, he would get into more controversies for having an interview with white supremacist James Edwards. This was, however, not as consequential as his meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016. On behalf of Russia, Veselnitskaya offered him information damaging to Hillary Clinton, his father’s opponent in the elections. Trump would later lie to the media that the adoption of Russian children was the main subject of the meeting as foreign interference in U.S elections became a point of concern.

Don Jr did not help his case as he has been at the forefront of some other conspiracy theories, including one that claims that former U.S. President Bill Clinton was somehow connected to Vince Foster’s death. He would also add that Clinton had a hand in the murder of many people.

In June 2018, he liked a tweet suggesting that actors were hired to act as the migrant children who were separated from their parents due to the Trump administration family separation policy.
