Generally known by his ring name The Rock, Dwayne Johnson found success in the entertainment world as a wrestler and actor. His career began in the ring during his early adult days and after some stints, he became more interested in acting. Dwayne Johnson was born May 2, 1972, in California. He has a Bachelor degree in Criminology and Physiology (General Studies) which he obtained from the University of Miami in 1995.
For his early education, he attended several schools since his family moved a lot. His first was Richmond Road Primary School in New Zealand before he joined Shepherd Glen Elementary School following his family return to the US.
He also attended Hamden Middle School in Hamden, Connecticut and later spent some time at President William McKinley High School. When his family made another move to Pennsylvania, Johnson completed his high school education at Freedom High School located in East Penn Conference.
Born into a multiracial background that has Irish, Black Canadian Samoan, Johnson comes from a family of wrestlers. His dad, Rocky Johnson was a professional wrestler and among the first black tag team to be honored with the World Tag Team Championship in WWF. Although his mom didn’t wrestle, she comes from Anoa’i wrestling family widely known as professional wrestlers. His maternal grandparents are Lia Maivia and High Chief Peter Maivia. Lia Mavia was among the very small number of females that promoted wrestling in 1982 until 1988. But it doesn’t end there. Johnson’s cousin Nia Jax whose given name is Savelina Fanene is also a professional wrestler working for WWE.
Johnson drifted from a career in professional football after he was put out for a while due to injury to wrestling as a third-generation wrestler and finally picked interest in taking over Hollywood. The good thing is, in all three professions which he has dabbled in, Johnson did leave substantial legacies.
As a footballer which he began in the college, Dwayne played for the University of Miami, the National Championship team, and Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.

Dwayne Johnson fell in love with Dany Garcia in 1992 and married her in 1997. The couple later separated in 2007 – years after the birth of their daughter Simone.
Not quite long after the split, Johnson kicked off a romantic affair with Lauren Hashian, daughter of the famous drummer for Boston Sib Hashian who died in 2017. The couple first met in 2006 onscreen during the filming of The Game Plan but they didn’t begin dating until his divorce in 2007.
