Ellen Kershaw was born— Ellen Melson—in Texas, the United States, on November 9, 1987, into a conservative Christian family. She spent the most part of her early life in Dallas where she attended Highland Park High School, the same school as her current husband. There, they began the first spark of what has now blossomed into a blissful marriage.
Following her graduation from high school, she proceeded to the A&M University, the same school Clayton had been offered a scholarship to study in, but later had a change of mind to go sign up with the Dodgers.
