Equanimeous St. Brown was born as Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep J. St. Brown on September 30, 1996, in Anaheim, California. He holds dual citizenship – American and German.
Brown speaks three languages, he is fluent in French and German and is also excellent when it comes to the English language. In grand style, when he wanted to join the University of Notre Dame, he used the three languages in announcing his intentions publicly. Equanimeous St. Brown aligned his dreams as a footballer during his days at Servite High but gained more experience in the game during his days at the University of Notre Dame. He played with the University team from 2015 to 2017 before deciding to forgo his senior year and apply for the 2018 NFL Draft. By the end of his days at the university, he totalled 92 receptions for 1,484 yards in addition to 13 touchdowns.
After declaration to join the NFL, he was selected by the Green Packers in the 6th round as the 207th overall selection of the 2018 NFL Draft. He inked his contract with the Packers on May 7, 2018.
His first appearance in a game was made against the Detriot Lions where he recorded 3 catches for 89 yards in addition to a 54-yard catch-and-run end of the game. He has bagged a couple of achievements in the modelling world and is said to have won the Mr. Universe crown twice and was also crowned Mr. World thrice.
John planned the life of his family right from the beginning, he had always dreamt of having a sporty home. His other sons, Osiris and Amon Ra also play college football as wide receivers. He met his wife, Miriam, in 1987 during the fitness trade show in Cologne, Germany.
He named his first son Equanimeous St. Brown because his college friend at Cal State Fullerton wrote a book featuring the character named Equanimeous. He got inquisitive and sought for the tale behind the name. His friend later told him that he coined it from the word equanimity meaning ”calm emotions when dealing with problems or pressure”.
As a result, John fell in love with the name and vowed to bestow it on his son which he eventually did. Just like Equanimeous’s name, his other brothers also have interesting tales behind their names.
