Future Awards Africa

Africa has Chude Jideonwo and Adebola Williams to thank for coming up with the idea which has now emerged into a platform where the younger generation is encouraged to do better – the exact thing that Africa needs. It had been previously called the Future Awards but the suffice, Africa, was later added to the title to represent the original idea of the platform which revolves around pan-Africanism.

Since its inception, the Future Awards Africa has seen people from different African countries including Tanzania’s Ashish Thakkar, an entrepreneur, and many others.

The first Future Awards was held in 2006 at Muson Center in Lagos, where the exceptional achievements of young Africans at the time were honoured.

Complaint Period

There have been times in the past where the ages of participants or nominees are questioned after entries.

Being an age restricting award, the Future Awards Africa allows for a two-week probing period called the complaint period. This is to make room for queries or complaints from the public regarding the ages of nominees for the awards. The Future Project is fully aware that such issues are bound to arise, hence the reason for the complaint period.
