Google’s Pixel Phone, Smart Speakers And All The Gadgets Launched At The Oct. 4 Event

On Tuesday, October 4, some ‘made by Google gadgets’ were  launched. They were a range of hardware products from Google’s new Pixel phone to a Google Wifi router and even smart speakers with incorporated AI technology.

If you missed the event, these are the Google gadgets that will be hitting the tech market soon.

 Pixel Phones

The Pixel and Pixel XL phones are the much raved about Google gadgets from the October 4 event. They are the first phones made absolutely by the tech giant. The Pixel is a 5-inch screen running the latest version of Android ( Nougat) while the Pixel XL is a 5.5-inch screen running the same Android Nougat. Both phones are the same save for their sizes.

Google claims the pixel phones have the best cameras ever. It also has special Google features that cannot be found on other Android phones. The Pixel phones will start at a price of $649. It can be bought unlocked from Google or through Verizon.

Daydream View VR Headset

The Daydream View is a virtual reality headset that works with Google’s Pixel phone, but will accommodate other Android phones in the future. The VR headset comes with a remote control for menu navigation and playing games. It will go live in November for a total of  $79.

Chromecast Ultra

Chromecast is a streaming device which allows you to cast your videos, movies and so on from a laptop or mobile device to your TV. The Chromecast Ultra is just an amped-up version with  faster performance. The Chromecast Ultra will also go on sale in November for the price of $69.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant is an Artificial Intelligence helper just like Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana. Assistant combines all of Google’s services; Google Search, Google Photos, Gmail, Google Voice, Google Translate into one easy to use voice-based package.

Google Home Speaker

The Google Home speaker is a smart speaker which lets its owner control music, video, search queries and smart appliances with voice-recognition technology – all you have to do is talk to it. The smart speaker also has Google’s Assistant inside, therefore making search queries easier. Home will go for the price of $129 in November as well.

According to Google, the router is designed to give one a fast signal in every room, on every device. It uses a technology called Mesh Wifi which works to create high-powered network points in every part of a home.

Google Wifi will sell for the price of $129, or $299 for three.
