1. Her Stage Name Is Gotten From The German language
Heize, real name – Jang Da-Hye, was born on the 9th of August 1991 in Daegu, the fourth largest city in South Korea. Her stage name is gotten from the German language and means ‘to make something really hot’. The singer and rapper comes from a Christian family background comprising of herself, her parents as well as an elder brother.
Heize first fell in love with music as a child but her parents were wary of her singing ambitions. She, therefore, allayed their fears by performing excellently in her academics. She not only completed her high school education but also furthered her studies at the Pukyong National University.

Heize competed in season two of Unpretty Rapstar in 2015. She gave several unforgettable performances on the show but was eliminated in the semi-finals. Despite not winning, her time on the competition was quite useful as it helped to make her famous all throughout South Korea.
4. Her EP Has Achieved All-Kill status
Heize dropped her debut eponymous EP in 2014. She has since released other EPs such as And July (2016), You, Clouds, Rain (2017), Wind (2018), and a full-length album, She’s Fine (2019). You, Clouds, Rain is her most successful work thus far. It contains five tracks namely Don’t Know You, Star, Dark Clouds, Raining with You and You, Clouds, Rain.
