The Untold Truth about HOTSHOT

Even though HOTSHOT members left the group for other K-pop opportunities, they later reunited. HOTSHOT member Sungwoon was able to participate in the survival television series Produce 101 Season 2 alongside Roh Tae-Hyun during the first half of 2017. He was allowed to promote as a member of Wanna One until the group disbanded in December 2018, after which he returned to promote as a regular member of HOTSHOT.

On Taehyun’s part, joining the Produce 101 Season 2 meant him getting a slot in the fan-created group JBJ and then proceeding to promote for seven months under Fave Entertainment. JBJ debuted on October 18, 2017, and disbanded on April 30, 2018. During this time HOTSHOT was still performing and releasing music. HOTSHOT never disbanded as a group. Instead, the group takes breaks in-between for its members to show up in other projects. If anything, their continuous return gives their popularity a boost.
