In a 2013 interview with People Magazine, Vega disclosed that she had never dated a Latino before Carlos and that she has always avoided actors, all her past boyfriends were very tall, lanky white guys and none was below six feet tall. So when she met Carlos, a Latin guy, just 5 feet 7 inches tall and an actor, he was the complete opposite of her ideal guy. However, they were able to blend because according to Vega, Carlos ended up being all that she had ever wanted in life.
Carlos popped the big question while the duo was on a cruise ship in August 2013, the couple’s engagement was barely five months old when they decided to culminate their relationship in a wedding ceremony which took place in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on the 4th of January 2014.
