It is not an uncommon occurrence for members of one family to work in the same line of business. This happens in different career fields, and in entertainment, there have been a sundry of families who have made their mark in the world of entertainment. The Osbournes is one of such families, and a self-titled reality show on the lives they led was what thrust most of the members of the family into the limelight, including Jack Osbourne.
Although the English born media personality is best known for his part in the Emmy award-winning reality show, The Osbournes, Jack’s reputation has grown beyond what he used to be known for, which was simply the child of Ozzy Osbourne, the metal rock singer. Despite that, the fact that his family, especially his father, played a crucial role in his career path, cannot be easily forgotten
Jack Osbourne’s Rockstar Dad Paved The Way For The Family’s Entertainment Career
Jack Osbourne was born on November 8, 1985, in London, to Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Levy. His father, Ozzy Osburne, is the lead vocalist of the metal rock band Black Sabbath while his mother, Sharon, is his father’s manager. Jack is one of the three children that his parents had together. His siblings include elder sisters – Aimee and Kelly Michelle Lee Osbourne. Also, his father, who has been married in the past, had two children, namely Lois John Osbourne and Jessica Hobbs, from his first union.
As children of an entertainer, it is not a surprise that the Osbourne brood has taken after their father and built successful careers for themselves in entertainment. Kelly Osbourne is widely recognized for the work she does as a media personality, songwriter, and fashion designer. Jack’s eldest sister, Aimee, is the more private one of his two sisters. She also acts and sings but is not as popular as Kelly; this is to her liking as she has shied away from the spotlight and has tried to live a largely private life.
The Osbournes Star Continued The Family’s Tradition of TV Appearances
The reality TV show, The Osbournes, premiered on MTV in 2002, and it aired on MTV from that year to 2005. It featured the lives of the Osbourne family, and during the period it aired, the show bagged an Emmy Award. Interestingly, the same year the show premiered, Jack landed a very small role in Austin Powers: Goldmember. Thereafter, he was seen in a Super Bowl XXXVI commercial for Pepsi Twist, which also featured his sister, Kelly.
However, Jack’s career in entertainment started to grow when he got a role in the 6th season of Dawson’s Creek, where he portrayed the character of Audry’s childhood friend, from 2002 to 2003. That same period, he starred in Union Jack, a show that aired on Channel 4. He followed it up with an appearance in the movie, New York Minute, which featured the Olsen twins in lead roles.
In 2005, when The Osbournes ended, Jack started to show an interest in fitness, and to this end, he began to co-host the ITV2 fitness show known as Celebrity Wrestling: Bring It On. In that same year, he was seen on Extreme Celebrity Detox, and when he eventually left the program, he decided to start his show, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie. On this new show, he lost 50lbs and showed off his weight loss by posing semi-nude for Cosmopolitan in 2005; this was done to raise awareness of testicular cancer.

More so, a documentary on his father premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2011; the documentary was initially titled Wreckage of My Past: The Ozzy Osbourne Story, but by the time it premiered, it ran under the title, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne. Jack has also worked as a music video director, and he started this with the video for his dad’s 2010 song, ‘Life Won’t Wait’.
He Has Amassed Huge Wealth From His Career
Since his initial appearance on his family reality TV show, Jack has gone ahead to partake in several projects in the entertainment industry. It was even gathered that he has worked as an Artists & Repertoire (A&R), scouting for Epic Records where his father also worked. In addition to that, he has helped his mother to manage his father’s annual touring festival known as Ozzfest, where he mostly worked in an advisory role for aspiring bands.
As of now, the media personality’s career, which began with his family’s reality TV show, The Osbournes, has spanned over a decade, and so far, it has been quite successful, earning him a net worth of $10 million. The bulk of Jack Osburne’s income stems from his TV and film career, as well as endorsement deals, among other ventures.
The Media Personality Currently Lives With Multiple Sclerosis
Jack Osbourne has lived a life that has been plagued by some sicknesses. When he was eight, he was diagnosed with a form of dyslexia, and by the time he was 10, he had Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This affected his ability to learn until he was enrolled in a school for kids with special needs.
However, things took an ugly turn when Jack clocked thirteen as he indulged in heavy drinking and smoking. He became addicted to OxyContin and attempted suicide, but thankfully, he soon realized his folly, and consequently, went into rehabilitation. Unfortunately, this was not the end of his health challenges as he was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis in 2012.
To cope with his illness, he takes Copaxone daily, which he injects, as well as vitamin supplements. Stem cell and hormone replacement therapy are also things he has engaged in as well to fix his ailment. More so, Jack maintains a clean diet and exercises regularly, which have been very effective in helping him manage his health condition over the years.
Jack Osbourne Is A Father of Three Adorable Kids
Jack Osbourne has been married just once, and it was to Lisa Stelly. Stelly used to work as a model and actress, but now, she is the owner of her own company, Fancy Sprinkles, where she makes edible decorations. It is not clear how the two met or how long they dated, but in April of 2012, they had their first child, Pearl Clementine, and six months later, they got married.
A year after they got married, tragedy struck the family; the couple was expecting their second child and first son when Lisa had a miscarriage in September 2013; they had planned to name him Theo. However, their second child, Andy Rose, was born about 2 years later in 2015, while their third daughter, Minnie Theodora, was born in 2018.
His Marriage To Lisa Stelly Ended in 2019
Three months after the birth of their third child, the couple announced their separation, and by 2019, they finalized the divorce. According to reports, Lisa was the one who filed for a divorce, and the reason she provided was irreconcilable differences.
To date, the cause of their divorce has not been revealed by any of the parties. They, however, stated that they separated on amicable terms, still loved each other, and are going to raise their daughters as a family. The couple has joint custody of their daughters, and when it comes to spousal support, Jack refused to pay monthly; he rather paid a lump sum at the end of the proceedings, and each of them also got one property each.
