In 2002, JC Monahan was hired by the WCVB, an ABC affiliate where she worked as a weather forecaster while also working as a reporter. Her big break came in 2013 when she switched roles as WCVB meteorologist and joined Anthony Everett as the co-anchor of the popular program Chronicle.

In June 2017, Monahan joined WBTS, a low powered NBC owned-and-operated TV station licensed to Boston after her contract with WCVB was up. She has since that time been with WBTS doing what she knows best, wooing her viewers with her impressive skills and sensational voice through the reporting of events.
