Justin Hartley is an American actor known for his roles in various popular television series. While he is vastly admired for how believable the characters he has portrayed are, it wouldn’t be realistic to assert that he is the most popular TV star in Hollywood. Regardless, the actor has remained relevant in the competitive industry since he became a part of it in 2002.

Given the clout he carries as an entertainer, it is only natural that his numerous fans keep up with his personal life. The actor has been quite busy in that regard and there have always been stories to tell. First, it was about him dating his co-star, Lindsay Korman, their marriage, and the subsequent divorce that followed. The actor moved on and got married to another actress in October 2017, but that union packed up in December 2019 and has engendered yet another tale about the actor’s love life.

Justin Hartley and Chrishell Stause Met in 2013 Through a Mutual Friend

With Justine Hartley and Chrishell Stause both earning a living as actors, it is only natural that they would have met on several occasions. Stause commenced her acting career in 2005 and has since appeared in several TV series such as All My Children, Days of our Lives, Mistresses, and The Young and the Restless. She is also a realtor and has her own reality TV series on Netflix titled Selling Sunset.

But then, the meeting that birthed their love story happened in 2003. As the story goes, a castmate of Chrishell in Days of Our Lives introduced her to Justin and they fell in love immediately. Hartley related that their first date was at a concert where they talked all night. He drove her home, called the next day, and it sealed their fate.

The love-struck couple dated for nearly three years before getting engaged in July 2016. Their nuptials took place on the 28th of October 2017 in Malibu and it marked the beginning of their journey as life partners.

The Couple Looked Like a Match Made in Heaven

Justin Hartley was happily married to Chrishell Stause, or so was it thought. The news of their separation came as a shock to many because it was widely believed that they were enjoying marital bliss. They made red carpet appearances together and were regarded as the next Hollywood power couple.

Hartley and Stause do not have any kids together. However, the actor has a daughter from his first marriage. He was previously married to his Passions co-star, Lindsay Korman. The union lasted from 2004 to 2012 and produced a daughter named Isabella Justice.

The actor disclosed that his daughter and Stause were very good friends, as Isabella served as a flower girl and ring bearer during the couple’s wedding. All of this begs the question, what happened to their marriage?

Justin Hartley Filed for Divorce Just a Few Days After They Made a Public Appearance in November 2019

After Hartley and Stause were seen together at a Golden Globes event in Los Angeles, the actor filed for divorce about a week later. Unsurprisingly, he cited irreconcilable differences, disclosing that they had separated since the 8th of July.

What was, however, surprising was that he filed for divorce just after making a public appearance with his wife, and the fact that he informed her about the divorce through a text message. Also, the filling of the divorce came just after their second wedding anniversary.

Nobody quite knows the real reason for their separation. It has since been expressed in some quarters that the decision to part ways was an impulsive reaction to a problem and that the actor should have tried to work things out.

Chrishell Stause herself has not been very outspoken about it but has dismissed her ex’s claim that they separated in July. The actress insists that they parted ways on the 22nd of November 2019, the same day he filed for divorce. She has suggested that the actor used July to shut her out from a deal he landed.

Whatever it was that led to the divorce must have been very serious seeing that Justin Hartley has erased any traces of what he had with Chrishell Stause from his Instagram account. What’s more, is that it has circulated that he has already found another lover.

According to various reports, the actor is now dating Sofia Pernas, his co-star on The Young and the Restless. It was on the 29th of May 2020 that he was first spotted with a mystery woman who dropped him off at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Los Angeles. TMZ later confirmed that the mystery woman was Pernas who played his girlfriend Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless.

Since his impressive debut, Justin Hartley has not relented as he has gone on to feature in other popular TV series like Jane The Virgin, Mistresses, Castle, Chuck, CSI: NY, and Emily Owens, M.D. But then, they are not the works that earned him the influence he commands as a TV star today.
