Kayla Varner is an American athlete and a woman with a big heart. She used to play for her high school and university soccer teams, garnering several goals, assists, wins and awards along the way. She received the Nevada High School Player of the Year award in 2009 and 2011. She is happily married to professional baseball player Bryce Harper. Kayla Varner was born on the 4th of November, 1992 in Henderson, Nevada. She attended and graduated from Green Valley High School before moving on to college. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The university is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The passion for sports had been in Kayla Varner right from her earlier years. She served as the captain of her high school soccer team, Green Valley Gators, for a period of time. Following that, she was a star soccer player in college and played for two seasons at Brigham Young before transferring to Ohio State University, where she continued with her love for soccer.

Career
Kayla’s leadership skills and aptitude allowed her to captain the Green Valley Gators team for three of the four seasons she played. Her abilities proved very resourceful in getting the team to the playoffs each year that she was on the starting 11. Her record in the four years of play is a stellar 112 goals and 83 assists. She also won two Sunrise Conference titles with the team and three Southeast Division titles. While at Brigham Young, she played for two seasons before moving to Ohio State where she played 20 games for the Ohio Buckeyes. Varner has also been involved in several charity works.

Kayla has a close-knit family. She was raised in Las Vegas with her two brothers Markus and McKay by her parents Lizz and Sean Varner. In addition to her own family, Kalya has begun a journey towards building her own family by marrying Bryce Harper.
Kayla and her husband Bryce Harper began dating each other in 2012. They got engaged in 2014 and were slated to tie the knot sometime in the early days of January 2015. However, the wedding was called off at the last minute, and neither of them gave an explanation for why that happened. Subsequently, Kayla stopped appearing on Bryce’s social media posts, and speculations began to surface that the two had parted ways.
Things changed when in July 2016 they were spotted together at the ESPYs. And this time, Kayla was wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger. She later posted a picture confirming that the couple had gotten engaged. The couple officially got married on the 17th of December, 2016 in front of family and friends. Kayla Varner and her husband are both heavily involved in charity works. Bryce Harper started his charity in 2013 called Harper’s Heroes. The charity collaborates with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The charity gives cancer patients and survivors the opportunity to watch the Washington Nationals team take batting practice and also gives them the chance to watch the team play games for free.
Kayla has been heavily involved in supporting her husband’s charity. She is also involved with the Alliance for Haiti’s children, a charity with the aim of helping Haitian children get an education.
