However, if you somehow missed out on one of the greatest TV shows of all time, then an introduction is in order. Kelly Stables is an accomplished Hollywood actress who has appeared in many movies and TV series, as well as several theatrical productions. She is, however, most popular for her role as the bubbly receptionist, Melissa, on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. Her character initially embarks on a short-lived affair with the main character, Charlie, before going steady with his younger brother, Alan.

Kelly Michelle Stables was born on the 26th of January 1978 in St Louis, Missouri. With regards to her family background, the actress has a beloved older sister named Tanya Childress and her mother has been identified as Jill Cissel. Stables grew up in St Louis and attended Lafayette High School where she was a standout student. She was not only a cheerleader and the prom queen but was also elected class president in her senior year. After high school, the actress enrolled at the University of Missouri where she studied TV Communications as well as a theatre performance. She received her B.A. in 1999.

Kelly Stables first fell in love with acting when she was just a child. Her earliest memories involved performing shows in her driveway for neighbors and portraying the angel in a local Christmas play at the age of five. On graduating college, Stables moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue her acting career.

The actress got her head start by doing stunts on various movies including Spiderman and The Princess Dairies 2: Royal Engagement. Stables finally got a breakthrough whilst doing stunt work on the iconic horror film, The Ring. During the filming, she became good friends with Oscar-winning makeup artist, Rick Baker who helped her to land her debut movie role on the second installment of The Ring film series, The Ring Two, in 2005. In the movie, Stables played the role of Samara Morgan, the vengeful ghost of a physic girl who was murdered and thrown into a well.

Since her 2005 breakthrough, Kelly Stables has gone on to appear in several indie movies such as Furnace, Telling Lies, Dragon Hunter, Together Again for the First Time, Pride and Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy, Soul Fire Rising, and Should’ve Been Romeo. She also appeared in the feature film, Horrible Bosses 2. 

Kelly Stables has also enjoyed enormous success on the small screens appearing in TV shows such as W.I.T.C.H, How I Met Your Mother, The Bold and the Beautiful, Two and a Half Men, Romantically Challenged, and Super Store. She also appeared in The Exes, a sitcom about three divorced men who reside in an apartment owned by their divorce lawyer, Holly. In the series, Stables plays the role of Holly’s best friend and assistant, Eden.

Asides her screen work, Kelly Stables has also established a thriving career on the stage. She has appeared in theatrical productions such as W.R. & DAISY, Peter Pan, A Very Brady Musical, and Sleeping Beauty.

The beautiful blonde actress is currently married to Kurt Patino, an alum of the University of Southern California who is a screenwriter as well as a producer. He wrote the script for the 2018 adventure comedy-drama – Tin Holiday which revolves around two friends who get into trouble with the law while visiting London. The movie earned Patino the Best Story Award at the 2019 London Festival International. Additionally, Kurt Patino is also the founder/CEO of a talent management company known as Patino Management Company.

Stables and her husband tied the knot on the 26th of March 2005. Since then, they have enjoyed a blissful marriage and there have not been any negative rumors about them. The couple now has two sons together; their first, Kendrick Kurt Patino, was born in September 2012 while their second, Kellen William was born in April 2015.
