Kemba’s full birth name is Kemba Hudley Walker, he was born in Bronx, New York on the 8th of May 1990 to Paul and Andrea Walker. He identifies as an African American by ethnicity and has 3 siblings; 2 brothers named Akil and Keya, a sister named Sharifa.
They all grew up in The Bronx, New York where he attended Rice High School in Harlem, New York. In high school, he actively participated in their basketball team; ending his high school Senior year with 18.2 points and 5.3 assists per game before he graduated in 2008.

Kemba had for himself a stellar game in the 2013 Eastern Conference Playoffs against the Miami Heat, in which he made a career franchise score of 29 points, 5 rebounds and assists respectively, blocking 3 and grabbing 2 Steals, although the Bobcats eventually lost that game to the Heats. He also in the same season carted away 31 points in the game against Golden State Warriors on the 9th of December, 2013. He went on in February 2014 to score a career-high 16 assists, 5 rebounds on 10/18 shots from the court, aiding their win against the Detroit Pistons.
