Kunal Nayyar was born in Hounslow, London, England on the 30th of April 1981 but spent his formative years in New Delhi, India. His parents are Heita and Rakesh Nayyar and he was a student at St Columba’s School in New Delhi.
With the sole purpose of furthering his education, the actor proceeded to the University of Portland, Oregon to pursue a degree in Business, however, he picked up interest in acting and chose to pursue it too. He started rehearsing for different play roles in school while simultaneously grooming his acting skills. Upon graduation from the University, Kunal Nayyar pursued a masters degree in fine arts at the Temple University in Philadelphia after which he took up working for advert firms in America and performing in stage plays on his off time.
