A Pennsylvania product, Kyle Lauletta was born on the 27th of November 1995. He is one of the four children born to Joe and Kim Lauletta. Kyle has two brothers (Trey and Bryce) and a sister named Brooke. He attended Downingtown High School where he played both football and the game of lacrosse. Lauletta began putting up amazing performances on the field right from his high school days and later continued as such at Richmond College.

2. Kyle Hails from a Football Family

It wouldn’t be out of place to say Lauletta was born with football in his blood as his roots in the sports stretch back to generations. His grandfather Joe Lauletta Snr, played football and basketball at Delaware and was also a long-time coach, while his father Joe and uncle Lex played football at the Naval Academy in the 1980s.

More so, his brothers played as quarterbacks for Downingtown East. His older brother, Trey, who is only a couple of years his senior, now serves as a sort of quarterback coach for Kyle. Growing up, his two major influences in terms of career choice were his dad and older brother.

From 2013 to 2017, Kyle Laulette played college football at Richmond where he shined with a nice combination of athleticism and accuracy. He had a solid production during his 40 career games at Richmond, completing 63.5 percent of his passes for 10,465 yards with 73 touchdowns and 35 interceptions while averaging 8.8 yards per attempt.

4. NFL Drafting

Kyle Lauletta transitioned to the NFL in the 2018 Draft after he was chosen in the fourth round as the 108th overall pick by the New York Giants. The former University of Richmond quarterback was the darling of the draft season because he took a lot of pundits and naysayers by surprise. Lauletta was chosen as the third member of the New York Giants’ quarterbacks which already featured Eli Manning and Davis Webb on the roster.

According to Giants’ Head Coach Pat Shurmur, his team wants to develop a good and a solid quarterback culture and since they like Lauletta, they decided to add him to the team and then just let the three quarterbacks compete.
