Lady Gaga’s Bio & Age

She was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986, into a humble Catholic family in Yonkers, New York. She attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart, in Manhattan where she continued to nurture her dream. At school, she would participate in musicals, open mic nights and others. She was getting better and better and in 2003 she took another significant step when she enrolled in a professional music training program at Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21) at Tisch School of the Arts in New York. Stefani further developed her music skills while in the school by fine-tuning her songwriting ability and couldn’t wait any longer to officially venture into her area of interest. In her second year at the school, she quit and went on to focus on her music career.

Gaga’s first official song was in 2005 when she collaborated with  Grandmaster Melle Me to do songs for an audiobook. Also in 2005, she was signed to Def Jam Records although her contact was short-lived for some unknown reasons. She then went on her own, performing songs in clubs in New York and she got better and better. Gaga graduated to the level of writing songs for artists in the likes of Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls, and others. She further rose to greater relevance when she was noticed by artist Akon who signed her to his label Kon Live.

While she toured the world the following year (2012) for her second album, relentless Gaga released her third album Artpop in 2013. One of Gaga’s major works was the unforgettable ‘Poker Face’ from her first album ‘The Fame’.

Meet Her Family: Parents & Sister

Lady Gaga’s parents Cynthia Louise and Joseph Germanotta worked so hard to give her and her younger sister the best in life, making all efforts to raise them in a well-to-do neighbourhood. Being from a religious home did not mean she wasn’t given the opportunity to dream.

From a very young age of 4, she had started playing the piano after being led by her mother to do so and this was how her passion for music developed. Gaga who was greatly encouraged by her parents to go into music spent a greater part of her childhood learning musical instruments, developed a good ear for music and gradually mastered how to play good music.

Does She Have A Husband or Boyfriend?

Bearing in mind her on-screen sassiness and indecency, many would think that the singer patterns her personal life in such coarseness. But on the other hand, Lady Gaga is quite traditional with her love life just like many of her counterparts. However, she has quite a peculiar love story which only makes fans more curious about her life.

Lady Gaga and Christian Carino

Though she is more private than outgoing, its no longer news that Lady Gaga is engaged to talent agent Christian Carino. The couple started raising dating speculations when they were spotted together at the 2017 Super Bowl. It was only a matter of months before word about their engagement broke, leaving fans excited and elated. Though she seldom talks about Carino, there have been a few times she eulogized him on a few platforms.

Before Carino was actor Taylor Kinney who was also engaged to the singer. Kinney graduated from the boyfriend level to the fiancé level in 2015 when he proposed to Lady Gaga. But after a year and few months, Gaga and her would-have-been husband broke up. The A-list singer attributes her blasting success to the failure of her relationship with Taylor. This among other things she revealed in her Five Foot documentary.

The singer also dated Matthew Willimas in 2008. Matthew was the former creative director of her Haus of Gaga. The couple split after two years in 2010.

Her body, for instance, is always on the inquiry list of the media and the public who constantly wonder aloud the rationale behind her raunchiness. Lady Gaga is constantly body-shamed by many people who for one reason or the other feel she is not hot enough to bare it all.

One of the most memorable events where Gaga was body-shamed was after her 2017 Super Bowl performance. After a vibrant halftime performance, the singer who was hailed by die-hard fans was also trolled by some who called her fat and flabby, among other things. But Lady Gaga was not one to freight over such hateful comments. She instead took to her Instagram handle to advise people to own and love their body even in their imperfections.
