Lalisa Manoban (birth name – Pranpriya Manoban) was born on the 27th of March 1997 in Bangkok, Thailand. She is an only child and grew up with her Thai mother and her Swiss stepfather named Marco Brueschweiler. Manoban spent her formative years in Thailand and fell in love with k-pop music at an early age. She admired bands such as Big Bang and 2NE1 and dreamt of becoming an idol someday.

The young girl, however, did not stop at just dreaming. She enrolled in several singing and dancing competitions including To Be Number One and Top 3 Good Morals of Thailand. She also joined a dance crew, We Zaa Cool and won some accolades with them. All of Manoban’s hard work paid off in 2010 when she was picked by YG Entertainment. She spent six years as a trainee and debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016. BLACKPINK dropped their debut single album, Square One, in August 2016.
