Margarita Levieva was born a twin on the 9th of February, 1980, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She’s a fraternal twin, and her sibling is a male. Raised by loving Jewish parents, Margarita got into rhythmic gymnastics when she was only three years old. She has revealed that she grew up poor, and this motivated her family to relocate to the U.S. By the age of eleven, she, alongside her family, left Russia for Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn in New York City. Margarita continued her gymnastics training while attending high school in Secaucus, New Jersey. After graduation, she enrolled at New York University from where she graduated with a degree in Economics.
Margarita’s acting career started out small and humble before bubbling into the global phenomenon it is now. She started out featuring in commercials and her first commercial was for a Samsung cell phone and was made as a mini-movie. Her acting career officially started in 2004 when she starred in the short film Billy’s Choice.
