Neil Gorsuch’s wife was born as Marie Louise Burleston to her parents, Byran and Prudence Burleston in Henley-on-Thames, the United Kingdom in 1968. She was raised alongside her elder brother, Richard in a religious home as they attended the Church of England while growing up. Marie Louise completed her basic education from more than one school, which includes St. Marcus Wantage and the Abbey School situated in Reading and Rupert Housh School located in Hensley. She also graduated from the University of Oxford, where she got a Bachelor’s degree in History and Philosophy.
Although much has not been disclosed about Marie’s career, she has been publicly known for the unequivocal supportive roles she has played in the career of her husband. 1. Marie Louise’s Marriage
While still in the university, Marie met her now-husband, Neil Gorsuch on a blind date in 1995 as both attended the same university. Following the inception of a loving relationship after the date, the pair moved on to seal their love with a nuptial bond in 1996. The marriage ceremony was held at St. Nicholas’ Church located in Henley-on-Thames, Britain. Soon after, the couple relocated to Virginia where they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Emma in the year 1999. Two years later, Marie gave birth to her second daughter, Belinda. Louise and her husband are still waxing strong together as a couple and have been married for over two decades and counting.
2. Her Daughter’s Supportive Roles
Marie’s daughters have been publicly acknowledged by their father on different occasions. In 2017, during Neil Gorsuch’s televised press conference as a Supreme Court Justice in Washington DC, the doting father of two gave a shout-out to his daughters who couldn’t make it to the occasion as they watched from their home in Colorado.

4. Her Mother-in-Law Was an Attorney
Marie Louise’s mother-in-law, Anne Irene Gorsuch Burford was a known attorney and politician. She served as the first female administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Ronald Reagan between 1981 and 1983. However, from 1976 to 1980 she was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from the 12th District. She authored a book about her experiences as a politician in 1996 entitled, “Are You Tough Enough?” Unfortunately, she died from cancer at the age of 62 in Aurora Colorado, in 2004.

According to Marie Louise’s close friends, she enjoys spending her leisure time on horseback riding and skiing. She also assists her husband in the breeding of horses, goats, and chickens. Her husband, on the other hand, enjoys fly fishing and going on ski trips with colleagues and friends.
