Marvin Lewis Jones Jr. was born on the 12th of March, 1990 in Los Angeles, California, specifically in the town of Rancho Cucamonga. He comes from a family of six consisting of dad, Marvin Lewis Jones Sr., mom, Pamela Harper, two younger sisters, Leslie Jones, and Vanessa Jones as well as a brother. Jones is from an athletically gifted family. His dad was a professional wrestler who participated in the 1984 and 1988 Olympics and his sister, Vanessa won the 400-meter PAC-12 championship title in 2015 when she was a senior at the University Of Southern California (USC). Jones had his high school education at Etiwanda High School where his journey to the NFL commenced. He gave some impressive performances while at the school and still holds the record as the school’s all-time leading receiver. Jones had his college education at the University of California, Berkeley where he played for the school’s Golden Bears football team from 2008 to 2011. In a total of 43 games for the school, he caught 156 passes for 2270 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also rushed for 116 yards with 1 touchdown.
Marvin Jones took part in the 2012 NFL Draft and was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round as the 166th overall pick that year. Jones would go on to spend four years with the Cincinnati Bengals (2012 to 2015). In his four-year stint with the Bengals, Jones had two outstanding seasons – 2013 and 2015. In the 2013 season, he caught 51 passes for 712 yards and 10 touchdowns. In the 2015 season, he caught 65 passes for 816 yards and 4 touchdowns. The couple, who eventually got married in March 2014, have four children together – their first son, Marvin Jones III born on the 12th of January 2009, their second son, Mareon Lamont Jones born in October 2011, their third son, Murrell Jones born in 2015 and a daughter, Mya Love Jones born in October 2016. 13 years and counting, Jones and Jazmyn are still going strong together.
