Mary Pat Christie (née Foster) was born on the 15th of September, 1963. She was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburb of Paoli, Pennsylvania, as the ninth of ten kids. She is from an Irish Catholic family.

Mary Pat was the 1985 class president of Delaware University, a position that was also attained by her spouse as he was also the 1984 class president. Mary received her MBA from New Jersey’s Seton Hall University.

Mary Pat Christie chose to create a profession in investment banking for herself after finishing her education. She worked at an investment company in Wall Street and ultimately became Angelo, Gordon & Co’s Managing Director.
