Matthew David McConaughey was born on the 4th day of November 1969 in Uvalde, Texas. He had his high school education at Longview High School, graduating in 1988. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin to study law. After two years of studying law, McConaughey did not find any joy in it despite pulling in good grades.
One day, he happened upon a popular 70s self-help book titled The Greatest Salesman in the World. After reading the book, he decided that he wanted to become an actor. With his parents’ blessings, he changed his major to film production and graduated in 1993.
Matthew McConaughey commenced his acting in 1994 in a teen comedy titled Dazed and Confused. He then played other minor roles until 1996 when he got the lead role in the movie, A Time to Kill. From there, Matthew McConaughey went on to star in other serious movies until the dawn of the millennium.
