Who is Miles Heizer? 

Miles Heizer was born—Miles Dominic Heizer—in Greenville, Kentucky, on May 16, 1994. Although their names aren’t so available, Heizer’s parents were middle-class Americans. His mother works as a nurse. Growing up, Miles and his elder sister, Moriah, spent the better part of their early life in Greenville where he attended elementary school. When he clocked ten, in 2004, the Heizer family moved to California to support their young son’s dream of being an actor, full time.

Career – Movies and TV Shows

A year later, in 2005, Miles Heizer made his debut as Joey Everton in a season three episode of the police procedural crime drama CSI: Miami, which aired on CBS. A year later, he starred in the short film Paramedic. 2006 was also the year Heizer guest-appeared in a season two episodes of CBS’ horror mystery series Ghost Whisperer. The following year, he appeared as Jackie Buckner in an episode of the crime drama mystery series Shark, which aired on CBS. In 2007, Heizer played a repeated role as Joshua Lipnicki in the fourteenth season of the NBC medical drama TV series ER. In 2009, he appeared he guest-appeared in a season 7 episode of Cold Case; another CBS series.

In 2010, Miles Heizer was cast as Drew Holt on the NBC drama series Parenthood. The series ended in 2015. Moving forward, Heizer appeared as Josh in Rudderless (2013); as Marshall Lovett in the drama-thriller film The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015); as Tommy Mancuso in Nerve (2016); as Alex Standall in the Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why (beginning in 2017).

On the big screen, Miles Heizer began his journey back in 2007 when he appeared as Davey Danner in the film Rails & Ties. Though the film turned out to be a commercial failure, his incredible talent displayed in the movie earned him a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film.

In 2014, he appeared as Josh in the musical comedy-drama Rudderless. The following year, he portrayed Marshall Lovett in the biographical drama The Stanford Prison Experiment. 2015 also saw him appear in another biographical drama film Memoria in which he starred alongside Sam Dillon, Thomas Mann, and James Franco. Other films include; Crime (2016), and Roman J. Israel, Esq., where he worked with Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington. He also portrayed Cal Price in the 2018 romance comedy-drama Love, Simon.

Since the kick-off of 13 Reasons Why in 2013, Miles Heizer and fellow actor Brandon Flynn has been embroiled in rumors tagging them gay. The two actors share a close relationship. They have been spotted hanging out together alongside a fellow castmates time and again and the have always shared the pictures publicly on their social media platforms. The speculations took a whole new leap when the two actors’ characters were seen sharing a passionate kiss on-set the short film Home Movies (2017).
