Patience Ozokwor is a widow. She was married to her late husband, whose name she has not revealed, for 25 years, from 1977 until he died in 2002. The actress has three biological children with her late husband: Uchendu Ozokwor, Chioma Nnenna Lameya Ani, and Nduka Ozokwor.
Though her husband died years ago, the actress has not remarried or been in any known relationship. Aside from her biological kids, the actress adopted more children she takes as her own. She became a role model for younger actresses, especially regarding raising a family while thriving in their chosen careers, just like she did.
Patience Ozokwor Was Married To A Mechanical Engineer
The movie veteran was forced into marriage by her folks at the age of 19 because her parents had many children. She was not allowed to make her choice in marriage despite having many admirers. Patience Ozokwor got married in 1977 to Mr. Ozokwor who was a mechanical engineer and equally serving as a civil servant in Enugu State. Though the marriage came against her wish, she still found solace in her husband and carried out her duties as a mother and wife. With the way she adores her husband, she had the best out of her marriage, though her husband was sick for some years before he passed.
Her husband died in 2002 after facing health challenges for fifteen years. Though it was a heartbreaking moment for her, facing her career, other ventures and the three children her marriage produced helped her in getting over her husband’s death. The Nollywood star has however remained single since the death of her husband, channeling all her attention, support, and love to her children and career.
Though it was alleged sometime ago that Patience Ozokwor was having an affair with the former Commissioner of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), it turned out to be a rumor. The actress however cleared the air, stating that she doesn’t have any contact with someone like that, and also stated that she has no intention of re-marrying anytime soon as she has focused fully on her children and acting career.

Uchendu Ozokwor is one of Patience Ozokwor’s children and the first biological son. He is the only child of the veteran actress who has worked with his mother, featuring with her in a UK-Nollywood film titled Why Mary? that was released in 2016. The first son of the Nollywood star studied engineering at Enugu State University Of Science and Technology. He got married to his girlfriend Gloria Nweze on May 25, 2013, in London, and they are proud parents to two children.
He is currently based in Nigeria with his family pursuing political ambitions. Though his year of birth is unknown, he celebrates his birthday on the 8th day of July. It can be said that Patience and her son are having the best mother and son relationship as they are often seen flaunting each other’s photos on social media with heartfelt messages.
Chioma Nnenna Lameya Ani
Chioma Nnenna Lameya Ani is the only biological daughter amongst Patience Ozokwor’s children. Though the year that she was born is unknown, she celebrates her birthday on the 17th of December every year. Her relationship with her mother can be said to be strong and rosy from the way she describes her mother as her personal antenna and her closest friend. The Nollywood veteran’s daughter tied the knot with the love of her life Emeka Ani in 2010 and has welcomed three children with her husband. Chioma Ozokwor is a complete replica of her mother’s facial outlook and loves acting but has not been seen in any movie. She currently stays in the United Kingdom with her husband and children and is into music as well.
Nduka Ozokwor
Nduka Ozokwor is the second son and last child among Patience Ozokwor’s biological children. He was born on the 25th of December 1988 and is currently 35 years old. Patience Ozokwor’s son is a professional footballer who plays as a midfield attacker. Nduka has played for the Enugu Rangers Football club and equally represented the Nigerian Flying Eagles as a captain in the FIFA U20 World Cup held in Canada in 2007. Currently, he plays for a Turkish club known as FC Ankaragücü. The midfield attacker also has a good relationship with his mother as they flaunt lovely pictures of each other on their social media handles. He is happily married to the love of his life Mary and they are proud parents of 3 children.
Patience Ozokwor Had Five Adopted Children But Lost One
The actress has a large heart despite her movie roles that portray her as a villain. After the death of her husband, she decided not to seek love again and adopted five children to whom she gave her name. She revealed in an interview that one of her adopted children is a pastor. The Nollywood veteran also further revealed the death of one of her adopted children whose death was as a result of a blood infection in March 2016. Pieces of information about her adopted children have been kept under wraps as much is not known about them.

Having given birth to three children who have become parents and played the mother role to her adopted children, Patience Ozokwor’s table is rounded by numerous grandchildren.
